Deleted scenes

I love this movie so much! I haven't read the book yet though :( I was wondering how many scenes were left out of the movie between the Duchesse de Praslin and her children.
Anybody knows?

The movie only covers the first half of the novel. The book actually tells the story of Henriette's life in America as Henry's wife.

You posted that two years ago,...so I doubt you'll respond now....but in the book is she happy as Henry's wife?? Well as happy as she can be...?

"Of course it is happening inside your head but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"

I'm not the person you asked this question of but i'll be happy to answer it for you. I read the book and in it Henriette was extremely happy as Henry's wife and loved him a great deal. You should read the book. It's excellent. Do keep in mind though that the book was written by her great grand niece, Rachel Field so Rachel was forced to make up some of the dialouge and such but all evidence points to Henriette being very happy with Henry!! Hope that helps! ")

Henriette pretty much re-invented herself and became quite respected and admired. It's too bad she had no children of her own. Her husband (who was 9 years younger than she) re-married after Henriette died in 1875. Coincidentally, the Duke was 9 years OLDER than "Mam'selle".
