I saw the movie today, thought it was good, but am really surprised a remake hasn't happened yet. This movie has the potential to combine murder, sex, suspense, revolution and wealth all into a period costume drama - which producers can also can claim to be factual.

seems ripe to me.

ps: I don't really support remakes, they usually disappoint, but I think that 'All this and heaven too' could translate better with a modern script and colour.

Seems like the perfect David Fincher movie.

Too good to be remade nowadays. Needs explosions etc. or won't make a dime.
