When was this film renamed? I have always known it as Abe Lincoln in Illinois. I see that it is called Spirit of the People. Curious as to who has the ability to change the name - I assume the studio that owns it - and why now? Or was this done some time ago? Anyone know?

Well, unless I have dropped in and out of a parallel universe, I would swear that when I first posted this, IMDB had it listed as Spirit of the People. Now it is not. Strange.

...and a Google turned this up. Two different listings or titles?
According to the Details section it is also know as "Spirit of the People" in the UK and Australia so I don't believe it was ever renamed as such here in US. Many movies produced in the US usually have alternative titles in other countries and vice versa.
I found this movie review on a UK website where it is entitled "Spirit of the People."
