Recurring 'theme music'

For those who in their posts wanted to know what the name of the song is that is played when the Joan and Dan are together, I think this is it.

Its title is:
"Where Was I"

The song was used as Dan and Joan's leitmotif in 'TIL WE MEET AGAIN and became a #1 pop hit in 1940 with lyrics by Al Dubin and music by W. Frank Harling.

"Where Was I?"

Recorded, probably by many, but available now by at least Charlie Barnett, Tony Martin, and Eddie Baxter/Renzo Cesana (spoken word.) Jan Garbor Orchestra made a recording of it, but I can't find it. From iTunes I downloaded the Charlie Barnett big band rendition, and it's very nice.

Oh where was I
The night that you surrendered to a sigh?
Where was I?

The moon was high
The night that you first listened to a lie?
Where was I?

I always felt that you would melt
In someone's arms some night,
And I was right.

The moment came -
But what a shame that someone else came by.
Where was I?

Wow, thanks; I had noticed the lovely "theme" and even mentioned it in my IMDB user review.
