To Kill a Mockingbird scene?

Anyone notice in this remarkable picture the similarity of the scene in which Honest Abe talks down the mob outside the jail to that scene in TKAM where a mob is out to lynch Tom Robinson in the county jail but Atticus has been waiting for them and, with the help of little Scout, gets the group to disband? I would not be surprised at all to learn that TKAM author Harper Lee (the scene's in the book also) was influenced by "Young Mr. Lincoln" in devising the scene for her book.

Most definitely! I saw the parallel immediately.

Last night, I came upon this very scene on YouTube, and I immediately thought the same thing. I just kept thinking, "this is very similar to that one scene in To Kill A Mockingbird, wow." Needless to say, I like both movies.

Actually, Addicus doesn't talk down the mob in TKAM. If you will recall, it was Scout talking to Mr. Cunningham, and he decided to leave which triggered the mob to disband.

Yes, and Addicus spelled his name, "Atticus".

Actually, "Atticus" is a fictional character and couldn't spell at all.

Neither can you, evidently.
