A great movie!

This one is worth seeing. It was made before Bogie really became famous and he is great in a mean role. Don't miss this one.

Where could I possibly see it?

KK keep checking the TCM schedule as they show it fairly regularly. Bogart is outstanding as his Halop who plays the young kid that is influenced in a bad way by Bogart.

If you liked this, I think you would like The Great O'Malley (1937) with Bogart and Pat O'Brien. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0028955/

Yes this is a great gangster/ prison movie that deserves more attention than it gets. A lot of these Warner Bros crime films were intially popular but just forgotten with time. They should release more of Bogart's 1930's films for they are interesting & fascinating to rediscover. I have a copy of this on VHS I love Bogart's pre-star movies as much as his later classics.

Bogart get's top billing but Billy Halop is the real star & main focus & it was exciting to see him on his own without the other Dead End Kids for a change. Even though I enjoy the Dead End Kids as well. Typically Bogart gives a great performance as the tough guy as usual & this is probably one of his meanest & evilest characters he's ever played.
