Couldn't agree more. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Fitzgerald at a 50-year anniversary showing of this film. She was petite, poised and positively charming. She spoke onstage about the film and conversed warmly and at length with admirers after the showing of the film. A lovely woman, onscreen and off.

I adore Geraldine Fitzgerald as an actress, and Isabella Linton is actually my favorite character in the book...but who, having seen Merle Oberon in "The Scarlet Pimpernel" could possibly question the appeal of this peerless beauty.

She doesn't have the smell of heather in her hair and her eyes are empty.

Heathcliff was wrong and so are you.

Her eyes were like her brother's.

Her brother whom Heathcliff hated because he was married to the woman he loved.

Geraldine Fitzgerald was a beautiful lady.

But Isabella was an unfortunate pawn of revenge for Heathcliff against her brother and Cathy. NOTHING MORE. Even with Cathy's death, which Isabella falsely (and pathetically) believed would give her a renewed chance & life with Heathcliff, she ended up as bitter and alone as Healthcliff himself.

I pitied Isabella. 

Don't f@ck with me fellas! This aint my first time at the rodeo.
