I LOVE the Bath tub scene with Crystal! Hillarious and what is that contraption the comes down from the ceiling!!!! They just don't make movies like this anymore!!

I would be claustrophobic in that curtain. Plus she was standing near knee deep in water while she was showering, LOL.

The "Contraption" was a shower curtain. In the original play, Sylvia peeks in, and remarks "My, you're putting on weight". The glass bathtub was re-used in a Our Gang comedy.

Yes, the curtain was unbelievable. The phone in the bathroom would have been an unimaginable luxury at that time. I like the answer above that says, "It is perfectly ridiculous", so funny.
