The Oz Books
Has anyone read the entire series? It was written in my hometown of Chicago.

I was okay with the first book, but all the rest stank.

shareI've read all of Baum's fourteen books. I enjoyed all of them, though, of course, some are better than others and the first is the best of the series.
There are many more books written after Baum's death. The one's published by the publisher Reilly & Lee from author's Ruth Plumly, John Neill, Jack Snow, Rachel Cosgrove Payes and Eloise Jarvis McGraw are generally considered canon by the Baum estate. There are a few others the Baum estate recognizes as well.
