In my opinion, the only film in history....

That is absolutely perfect. There have been many other films that are fantastic, but this film is the only one for me that hits 100%. Absolutely gorgeous, stunning film, head to toe.

This movie is absolutely terrible.

This coming from someone who names themself demonlord. This movie has stood the test of time and has been popular for more than 75 years. Can't be too terrible, but you are entitled to your opinion.

I agree with OP.

Adventure, heroism, laughter, terror, beauty, sadness, and warmth...and Toto too!

This movie will always be among my tiny group of favorites.

The greatest masterpiece of all time and will never be equaled or surpassed ! Wonderful indeed !

If pointing out someone's screen name is your best argument then that just makes you look sad and butt hurt.

reply

Well, "this movie is absolutely terrible" isn't exactly much of an argument either.

reply

LOL another terrible retort.

"this coming from some who names themself demonlord" - ROFL

Even larks and katydids are, supposed by some, to dream

Then why don't you get the heck out of here, because I think this movie is awesome.

Do you mean "TERRIBLY"-good?

Do you mean "TERRIBLY"-good?
No. They mean "Look at me! Look at me! I'm committing what many will consider celluloid sacrilege! Everybody react to me with anger and insults and arguments that will be completely wasted on me!"

I agree with the OP, a timeless classic which will far outlive any trace or memory of demonlord6696.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

I think it's interesting "Why" we like the films that we do.
Sometimes it's not necessarily the film it's self, but what was going on for us when we saw it. Like something we saw growing up and we remember it with a time that we think of fondly.

I often think of music in a similar way. There is a period of music that I particular don't like. If I'm objective about it, it really is Not the music I don't like, it's because that time period was difficult for me personally and that music was the soundtrack of the period. ~

I do find it interesting why certain films do and do not resonate with us.

I think it's a great book and film (one of my favorites). It's a part of my childhood, which I'm sure is true for many people.

I agree, one of my favorite films of all time, and also one of the very bet. Truly a remarkable film

Nothing is perfect jveatch, but this comes pretty darn close.

Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar and doesn't.

I've got it my #22 all time, A+. One aspect which shouldn't be taken too seriously from me- as a kid, the movie seemed sprinkled with almost too much maturity. Now as an adult, the opposite seems true.
As a teen, I distanced myself from it due to the musical numbers. Now I'm down again with them for laughs.

Worst movie EVER made.
