I have sent 20th Century Fox an e-mail
I think it is high time something was done about the non-release of this film on DVD.
Here is a copy of the e-mail I have sent to 20th Century Fox.

I would like some information about a film called "Where's That Fire?". It stars a British comic actor called Will Hay. It was released in 1940 and the Twentieth Century Fox Film Company (UK) were the theatrical distributors and production company. The film studio was Gainsborough. All of Will Hay's films have been released on DVD with the exception of this one. The information I have given you so far can be found on the BBFC website using this link:

The production and studio info can be found on the British Film Institute website using this link:

I have been discussing this film on IMDb for some time now under the name of twittykins and what I (and others) would like to know is why this film has never been issued on VHS or DVD. Is there an issue with rights or is it just not popular enough for Fox to release it? If you are unable to help with this query, please could you pass it on to someone at Fox who might be able to help. It might be a black & white film, but the feedback on IMDb should prove that there would be a market for its DVD release.

I hope this gets something moving. It is an insult to the comic genius of Will Hay to not have Where's That Fire? on DVD.
