They found Richard III's body under a parking lot!

(CNN) -- DNA tests have confirmed that human remains found buried beneath an English car park are those of the country's King Richard III.

British scientists announced Monday they are convinced "beyond reasonable doubt" that a skeleton found during an archaeological dig in Leicester, central England, last August is that of the former king, who was killed at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485.

So maybe its time for another remake of this film as I am sure
history is about to be re-written!

Especially considering that one of the people on the dig was a screenwriter who is interested in a writing a movie about the real Richard.

I doubt that we'll get another evil Richard movie. Even if this woman's project comes to light.

The screenwriter is reported as saying that she would like Richard Armitage to be involved with the film, if and when it gets off the ground.

It will be interesting to know how far archaeologists and historians can go using Richard's remains to 'rewrite' his history. From the looks of the spine well he's the real guy. Question is what else can they infer from the bones? Not sure if he's still in the car park but if he is they should get him out of there. But I have the feeling York and London will be fighting over his bones. Even if he was 'bad to the bone', Richard's one popular guy...;-)...

York now looks likely for his resting place. Richard's descendants are preventing his bones being buried in Leicester. They are saying it was the king's own wish to be buried at York.
