In the scene introducing the reporter, Garfields manager instantly jumps from his left to his right while talking to him.
In the same scene, as the reporter is rushing out of the apartment he picks up his hat at the door, starts to put it on, then remembers he has to get hit on the head with a break-away bottle, then takes the hat off so the bottle will break.

in the lunch counter scene where johnny/jack drops the $50. the guy at the end of the counter that jumps in with the guy who's foot is on the money "mouths" the lines of john garfield and the other actor verbatim and then says his one line. was he an understudy or something or did he crave more attention/screen time?? watch that scene again, it is hilarious!!!
shareActually, alot of actors will mouth the other characters' lines, as that way they know when to come in with their lines. The fact that you noticed it in this film is probably due to an error, either in editing and/or cinematography.
