Just watched the truncated American cut on BBC2, with the silly 'Cecil B DeMille' ending. Now... how do we get the "Director's Cut" released for the first time on DVD - anyone any ideas?

I'm Not sure if we'll ever get the original version (I don't understand why the US version the one shown on UK TV and released on UK DVD???) but I do live in hope. Failing a DVD relesae, you can watch the original 110 min film on YouTube, shown in 11 parts. Yes, it's not the ideal place to watch a movie, but it's better than not getting to see it at all.
