a Great Pleasure

This was one of the few Claude Rains movies that I had never seen so it was a great joy to finally track it down on TCM today. Such a fine cast too.

Its interesting that they paid so much attention to Haym's religi(Compare with how the skirted around the subject in much of Mr Skeffington) and the actual practice of it. I was a little surprised it dated to 1939, as the emphasis on diversity and sacrifice seemed more appropriate to the War years.
