Did anyone notice the goof?

It's really a goof but I can't blame the filmmakers because this was 1939 and not to be judged by 2010 technology.

Anyway, on my DVR I stopped it when at the end the monster tears the arm off the police inspector. In slowing it down (shot for shot) you can plainly see his real arm by his side in his coat pocket.
