Stop Knocking This Film - It's Bloody BRILLIANT!
Can't understand why some don't rate this movie as highly as the preceding two in Karloff's Frankenstein films.

I agree. It sort of reminded me of The Evil of Frankenstein. So far it feels the closest in feel to the Hammer films which is a very good thing to me.
shareI don't think it's as good as the first two, but it's still got its strong points and of course left a big impression on the legacy of Frankenstein: Ygor, Inspector Krogh.
Can't stop the signal.
Agree. Absolutely the next strongest sequel after Bride. I enjoy it just as much, too. Much more of a tense thriller...the house is brilliantly creepy, the sets are fantastic. Ygor and Krogh are iconic.
I really like House of Frankenstein, too, but this is much more of a dark, creepy film.

Aren't you relieved to know you're not a golem?
it wasn't just a great horror film, but a great film,period..acting..iconic scenes/set-pieces..casting,sets,music and images..the crowd of umbrellas dispersing at the depot, the bantering between wolf and krough over the dart game, the perfectly choreographed finale, with the monster waving kroughs arm,the women pounding on the door and wolf flying through the air on a rope..great stuff, the best universal horror fil,ever..Lugosi,rathbone,karloff and atwill..the perfect storm of horror
