Was anyone else hoping there would be a Creature-Child?

While I really enjoyed Son of Frankenstein, I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like had there been a child creature in the movie, to give the Monster a "son" of sorts. While I recognize that the Frankenstein it the title for most of the movies is actually referring to the doctor, and not the monster, I like how The Bride of Frankenstein featured a bride for both the doctor and the monster, giving the title a double meaning. How crazy would it have been to have a smaller, creepy version of Frankenstein's Monster wreaking havoc? (think Pet Sematary; Children of the Corn; The Omen; The Ring; Village of the Damned; The Exorcist; The Orphan; the Grady twins in The Shining; etc.)

Considering how iconic the Monster's Mate has become, I think a hypothetical child of the Monster would have taken on a strong influence in pop culture as well.

It crossed my mind that Wolf Frankenstein's son might get killed by the monster, and perhaps reanimated. But then I remembered this would probably violate the Hays Code.
