The man was just gorgeous.

I just finished watching the movie 30 minutes ago. I'm still drooling!

reply

Too bad he didn't respect his own health. His drunkenness really cut his life short.

reply

Flynn was a tragic character. Drink and drugs killed this man. I still like him though, for some reason..lol.

reply

There was nothing "tragic" about Flynn, normantater, and it wasn't drink and drugs that killed him, but his wonderfully "wicked wicked ways." And how generous of you to "still like him though." There wasn't anything not to like about Flynn, beginning with the sight of him in tights; no man has ever filled out a pair better.

In his fifty years, Flynn enjoyed life to the hilt and did what he wanted, and how many can say that? Judging by your and Topflight's posts, it sounds like you two should get together and hang some crepe.

The man was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in this movie

reply

Bring it on down, TopFlight. Flynn lived his life exactly as he wanted to and he wouldn't have had it any other way. Better to live a full life by 50 than a dull one by 80.

movies are visual and that is where I find a flaw in this version. Aside of the gorgeous Technicolr, obviously, Warner Bros. had to cast their two top stars in this over bloated concoction, merely to express Bette Davis overacting...I did not see Queen Elizabeth, I saw Bette Davis and Errol Flynn, and that is where I lost it. Imagine Errol falling for Queen Elizabeth and ignore Olive De Haviland. It might have been more believable had they cast someone less attractive than Errol, to match the unattractiveness of Bette's character.
