I have read so much about this animated short over the years that I became determined to see it. So I bought the Warner Home Video "Classic Holiday DVD Collection Volume 1" from amazon.com. "Peace on Earth" is one of the features on the DVD of "Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol," starring Reginald Owen.
Now I have seen "Peace on Earth" for the first time. I am sitting here in tears. What an incredible story, beautifully animated -- a cautionary tale decades ahead of its time.
You also get "Boys Town," "Christmas in Connecticut" and "The Singing Nun." I paid $28, including shipping. To say it was well worth it is an understatement. Everyone should see "Peace on Earth." The feature films are just icing on the cake. Peace on earth to you and yours this holiday season.
