The Kid's Six-Shooters

The mavens who like to post on the Goofs section seem to have missed that Cagney's handguns both in and out of his holsters changed during the same scenes several times during the course of the movie. Much of the time they were the relatively small frame Colt Lightning Models, which are easily recognized when in the holster by their "birdshead" grips. But at other times the butts are seen to have the plow handle shape of the larger Colt Model 1873, which was standard for Western movies. The Lightnings were no doubt provided because grips fit his small hands better, and because two of the Model '73's looked oversized on his diminutive frame.
