One of 3 most funny movies I ever saw!

To be honest, I didn't thought about movie when I started it. My ma told be it's Garbo's only comedy, so I got interested. But when movie started, I just laughed and laughed that my brother got from other room and asked me "If I'm feeling well". :D It's really great movie and I'm so glad I saw it! I just love that classic humor and I was so amused watching Ninochka before she started to laugh! :P

Also, if someone can give me advice which Garbo's movie should I watch next - I have her set and I have "Anna Karenina", "Queen Christina", "Anna Christie", "Mata Hari", "Ninochka" and "Camille" in it, but I saw "Camille" and "Ninochka". Thanks alredy! :D

Bette Davis: When I die, they'll probably auction off my false eyelashes.

Well this may be a little late, but I recommend Queen Christina. She has great chemistry with John Gilbert, who also gives a terrific performance. Of course this is the fourth picture they worked on together, but the only talkie.
Garbo really wanted to play the role of Queen Christina becuase she could relate to the character. It was a role that fit her well. Queen Christina was a woman who wore male clothes and wanted her people to refer to her as "king". She also didn't like being under the pressure of the public eye.
Garbo also enjoyed wearing slacks and the like. She too often refered to herself in a masuline sense, saying things such as, "When I was a small boy in Sweden..." And of course Garbo is famous for eluding publicity. She was perhaps the most private star who ever lived.
Now the screenplay for the film is very dated, and it isn't a perfect story, but Garbo is at her finest!

Also I agree about Ninotchka. While it isn't one of my all time favorite comedies, I still really enjoy it. Definitely one of her best!

Looks like you have some of her best films (Camille and Anna Karenina are my faves.)

If you can find it, As You Desire Me is one film I would recommend. It's certainly not her best- she plays a bleach blonde nightclub singer- but Garbo and Melvyn Douglas are irresistible together, and Erich von Stroheim is always great to watch.

"Tessie" is the Royal Rooters rally cry.
"Tessie" is the tune they always sung.

Have you watched any more yet? I haven't seen all of her movies (including Ninotcka) however, of the few I've seen my favourite is probably Mata Hari (she is so haunting and spot-on...very emotional movie. And you you like it I also recommend the modern movie Black Book...it is dutch with subtitles but it reminds me a lot of Mata Hari and even references it in the movie). I also enjoyed Queen Christina. I just watched Camille today and am continued to be blown away by Garbo. She should have made more movies!

I think you should watch them all. My favorite is "Queen Christina," so my advice is you should either watch that next, or keep it until last, depending on your personality. The publicity for "Ninotchka" made a great play on the phrase "Garbo Laughs!" but in "Queen Christina" she laughs as well, and most enchantingly.

I would like to know what the other 2 are. Also whether it is still one of your favourites.
