Too bad Washington isn't this way NOW

With the end of the time coming soon with global warming and massive unemployment, I thought I would watch some of the classic 1930s films before we all die.

I caught James Stewart in this earnest, stiff film that still has the power to make one tear up since we know Congress doesn't really act this way. Stewart, who lost in an upset to Robert Donat (Goodbye, Mr Chips) would go on to win the Oscar the following year in The Philadelphia Story, a film much more celebrated for the performance of Katharine Hepburn. And Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, while a sentimental gem, was up against stiff completion that included Of Mice and Men, The Wizard of Oz, Wuthering Heights and winner Gone with the Wind.

When Trump is finally impeached (which I am guessing will be before the 2020 elections), unfortunately his damage will still be here. I predict the world will end before 2025. Which means I'll barely be 40 years old. I asked some friends if moving to Canada would keep me safe, but they said bombs will go off "everywhere" once a new World War emerges.

As of now I work from home, shades drawn, with security and deadbolts. I don't leave the house except on Pharmacy day. Lets just say the drugs help me cope with it.
