I cried...

Just seeing there fighting against everyone with his voice almost ending was just.. wow.. what a movie.

A scene rarely if ever surpassed in cinema. James Stewart had a doctor on-hand to drip something in his throat to make it sound sore. "You fight for the lost causes harder than for any others! Yes, you even die for them."

I used to think I knew everything about the world. Now I just know that it's round.

So did I. I was wondering if I was the only one that deeply moved by it; glad to see I'm not.

I was also deeply moved by this film. Just watched it and thought it was even more outstanding than I've realized before.
(have seen it several times)

I'm positive that countless people have been moved to tears by this extraordinary movie.

I've watched this film several times, and I'm not a movie crier by any means, but today I was surprised by the number of times I choked up watching it again. The scene in which the grandfather helps his grandson read the inscription at Lincoln Memorial wiped me out. The final scene moved me, as well; Harry Carey could bring more emotion to a simple reaction shot than most actors can do with 10 pages of dialogue.

Yeah, this is an awesome movie.
