While I like this version of "The Man In The Iron Mask" for the outstanding cast and their performances, I like the story version of the 1977 TV version's story better....

....which makes the 1998 version a distant third, and I suspect this is only because I have not seen any others....just didn't like it very much :)

From her profile, I beleive it is hard to find Marion Martin (Evangeline in "His Girl Friday") in a role this large, and after seeing her in this, I do wonder why.

The best was the one with Richard Chamberlin ... they just never show that anymore and I don't know why .. I would love to see it again .
