I'm watching it right now for the very first time - great movie so far as good as the 1957 remake ( both the same in some ways and in others different too - I like both now lol ) . I didn't realize that the actor ( Charles Boyer ) who played in this movie was the same actor who also played in the 1944 version of " Gaslight " . Thanks michaelhelwick for your subject post .
shareIt will be on TCM on Groundhog Day -- Feb. 2nd. I can't wait! I've only gotten to see the last scene, which I saw the last time it was on. That's when I realized it was the same story as An Affair To Remember, lol.
I haven't seen Gaslight. I should check it out.
Yes hka-3 I would definitely recommend the 1944 version of " Gaslight " ( also with Ingrid Bergman ) . There were two versions of the movie " Gaslight " the first one was from 1940 made in England here's the Wikipedia Profile ---- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslight_%281940_film%29 ---- and the 1944 version too ---- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslight_%281944_film%29 ---- .
