Can anyone tell me the name of the british version that I watched as a child in the early 80's. I loved this version and the actress who played sara. Everyone I ask about this thinks I'm crazy. I would really appreciate any info.

It wasn't the BBC, it was LWT, but it was much more faithful than this version

There were two British versions of "A Little Princess". One in 1973 starring Deborah Makepeace (BBC version) and one in 1986 starring Amelia Shankley (LWT version).
