Scene in 'the Little Princess'

My 9 year old had to read Shirley Temple's biography and then dress up as Shirley Temple and let her class know five facts.

My daughter is a bit of a tom boy (so why she chose Shirley Temple I will never know), but searching for an appropriate outfit and there are not many frilly dresses for 9 years olds, I found a safari dress. If I remember correctly I thought I saw at the beginning of the movie Shirley Temple was in India and she was wearing a safari suit/dress. I can't confirm this as I don't have this Shirley Temple movie and can't find a picture on the internet. Can someone confirm this for me?

Thanks for your help.

No, I own this movie and have seen it numerous times. There are no scenes of them being in India in this movie, although it is certainly more than amply implied that that's where they are coming from. In the 1994 version of A Little Princess, there are some scenes in India, but the characters are not wearing safari suits. Perhaps you are thinking of Wee Willie Winkie, another Shirley Temple film. That one is set in India.
