Jean Gabin on TCM

On Thursday, August 18th, TCM devoted the entire day to Jean Gabin films. Among others they showed "Le Jour Se Leve." The running time was 93 minutes and the subtitles seemed satisfactory. Now that TCM has the rights to show this, it should appear again.

Among other Gabin films shown that day were "La Bete Humaine," "L'Air De Paris," "Leur Derniere Nuit," "Le Desordre et La Niut," "Maria Chapdelaine," "La Bandera," "Pepe Le Moko," "Touchez Pas Au Grisbi," "Gueule D'Amour," "Remorques," and "Des Gens Sans Importance." The fact that TCM has the rights to show all of these of TV would indicate the films will appear on TCM again. Thursday marked to first time TCM showed many of these films, among them "Le Bete Humaine."
