One scene in the beginning

Maybe we are just too sophisticated today. When Francois (GABIN) wanders into the hall after the police has left after he tries to shoot them through the door and after he has shot Valentin, his neighbor, his NEXT DOOR neighbor acts surprised when he sees Francois with a gun in his hand!

Duh! Hasn't he heard the shots in the next apartment - and - MORE THAN ONCE!?

This scene alone ultimately made me wonder about the script. Am I too picky?

I am just now watching this movie, and if I recall correctly, Francois was bleeding, dripping down the hand holding the gun. That's what his neighbor was looking at.

AHHH...Thank you so much...I missed it tonight, didn't I? You are so kind to write and tell me. Thank you~!

Nonsense, there was definitely no blood, he was the one to shoot, not to be shot. The neighbour was looking at the gun. Similarly, the blind man hears the man falling but not the shot and the shouts.
