Typical of it's time

Watched this one recently and it was typical of Hollywood's early approach to biographies. While it may have been thrilling to audiences of it's time who may not have been aware of the real stories of Jesse James, today it comes off as kind of corny, although highly enjoyable, as long as one doesn't let the facts get in the way

I sometimes wonder what audiences of that time would have made had they been able to see "The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford", the definitive Jesse James film.

Apparently, Mr. Jsmes's widow was still alive and had a lot of input on this film. So you KNOW it was going to be sanitized and fictionalized. Go elsewhere for a truer portrait of Jesse & Frank.

May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?
