Is Quasimodo's mother in this?

So Disney said that they used this film as a guide and concept to transfer live-action to animation.

At the beginning of the Disney movie, Frollo chases Quasimodo's mother through Paris and she is brutally killed on the steps of Notre Dame. I just wondered if this or anything similar was in this film?

I have to say I think the Disney version is quite underrated..

And it's not remotely like the book, in which Quasimodo is the deformed child the gypsies leave behind when they abduct the infant Agnès/Esmeralda, and who is then adopted by the 19-20 year old priest, Claude Frollo, from the foundling bed in Notre Dame.

The Disney version is a horrible travesty of the book, which is magnificent and heart-breaking.
