Cedric's Frollo as template for Kylo Ren

Just rewatched this recently and was struck how the Frollo character in both look and attitude bore a similarity to Adam Driver's Kylo Ren character in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Kylo wears a medieval-style black robe similar to Frollo's (but with a mask instead of that cool black cap) and both seems seem very closed off yet intense and judgemental of others. And evil. Plus Frollo had family issues like Kylo, with his brother rather than his parents. Plus both seemed to be repressively obsessed with a young women of of lower political/economic status than him. I wonder if director JJ and Driver drew inspiration from Cedric Hardwicke's portrayal?
