The cast was great:Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh, Leslie Howard, Gloria DeHaveloon, Victor Jory, Hattie McDonald, Prissy Butterfield and Everett Brown were a great cast!!! ThIn the last scene Clark Gable says "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!!!'nAnd Viivian Leigh say "Tomorrow is another day"! I highly recommend this movie!

Give Scarlett (mini tv series) a watch if you can. It's part 2 and starts directly from where GWTW left off. Timothy Dalton plays Rhett and Joanne Whalley plays Scarlett. Nothing will beat Gabel and Leigh or GWTW, but it is a pleasant conclusion and based on the book that proceeded GWTW. The TV series aired in the 90s. Sean Bean also stars in it. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108915/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

The book Scarlett is based on did not precede (proceeded?) Gone with the Wind. The novel was written by Alexandra Ripley who was chosen by the estate of Margaret Mitchell to write it. She was given access to Mitchell's private notes and papers and given permission to interpret them as she felt the story would have progressed.

And how many people actually discuss "Scarlett" now?

reply

@Metatron1970 Not many, but not many know about it as well because it was a mini series from the early 90s that only aired one time in the UK on Sky One, so thought I'd mention it in case others might not have heard about the series and are interested to see what happens next. Of course it is not in the same league as GWTW, but I still enjoyed it and liked the conclusion.

@PaladinNJ Yes, sorry, I forgot to add it was written by another author, oh and excuse the spelling/grammar mistake. :-)

No problem. We’ve all done it. Some of my "typese" errors deserve outright ridicule

:-) lol Yea I usually copy and paste my comments first into an email to check for spelling (it doesn't show up on here for some reason), but it didn't pick that up. I also type way too quickly. Have a fab day. :-)

Thanks for another one of your dogshit reviews slimone. We always love to hear the opinions of bots. And just who is Prissy Butterfield? I am 100% certain you meant Butterfly McQueen as Prissy. Keep up with your awful reviews because so many of us love to make fun of them.
