Just seen this film for the first time and just seen your post. I know some arabic (particularly Egyptian arabic). I was wondering about the flag but it doesn't look authentic to me at all. I think it's meaningless and made up for the movie to look like arabic.
Strange considering the dialogue is mostly authentic Egyptian arabic.
