Not a B-movie

Too involved to go into here what a B-movie was and wasn't. This was above a B-movie, probably playing the top of double bills in theatres. Ann Sothern was a star in her own right and Franchot Tone was a leading man unless he was up against Clark Gable (as in "Mutiny On the Bounty"). Even the featured players in this, Ruth Hussey and Lee Bowman, were respected supporting players and second leads in A movies.
