DVD restoration not up to par

I was looking forward to the restoration of Dodge City being of the same quality as Robin Hood, but it was not to be. I recognize the intricacies of restoring 3-strip technicolor material, and how challenging it can be. But it looks like there were some particular problems with this negative and they somehow slipped through. Each reel moves out of registration as it runs, and by the end, everything in the frame has a red fringe. After the reel change things return to normal, in fact, better than normal. It returns to 'Glorious Technicolor' for about half the reel, then starts slipping out again. Sorry to see quality problems like that slip through in what is really a great movie that is a joy to watch.
