Was this film the inspiration for Blazing Saddles?

Dodge City, from that same year, was the biggest one.

There is no doubt Lily Von Schtupp is based on Dietrich in this film. Madeleine Kahn was brilliant in Blazing Saddles.

Not solely this but there were certainly elements that gave me a wee chuckle though I have actually forgotten specifics...

Edit: Aye, Dietrich's character an influence for Lily von Schtupp as said above!
