This Movie is a Stinker!

Linda Darnell is painful yet fascinating to watch as a spectacular failure as a comedian and actor. Tyrone Power is only interesting when his mouth is shut because then perhaps his complete lack of talent may be temporarily forgotten. If Power was to be the "answer" to either Cary Grant or Robert Taylor, the answer was "wrong!" Warren William's talent is wasted on the clunker of a script, which is excruciatingly formulaic when it isn't simply boring. The sole relief in "Day-Time Wife" is William's ability to occasionally drag a glimmer of comedy out of the turgid production.
