I watched all 12 chapters in one sitting...

Granted that's no big feet, since I've also done the same with the LOTR trilogy.

I only mention it because, even though I love almost all the old cliffhanger serials, this one really stands out. I like it as much as Captain Marvel (my favorite), yet there's no superhero, or comic strip, aspect to it. These are simply normal people.

The story is great. The effects are great. The acting is well done. This is so much more than one would expect from a serial.

Kino Lorber did a surprisingly good job. I almost didn't buy it when I saw their name. Recently, my only experience with them was their horrible rerelease of Haunted Honeymoon. The extreme fluctuation in audio made that one almost unwatchable. I'm glad I gave this one I try though. I was not disappointed.
