A very charming comedy

Wonderful acting from Alistair Sim, Michael Redgrave, Torin Thatcher, and Jessie Matthews. One of the best British comedies from the 1930's.

Yes, I agree. Not the best by either Jessie Matthews or Michael Redgrave, but good fun.

Did anybody enjoy the bit where Nicky finally summons up the nerve to break with the double-crossing Connie? While she is in the make-up chair at the ad agency, he picks up some scissors and cuts off her fringe, destroying not only her dignity but also her chances of working that day.

I thought that scene was very funny! Perhaps I am in a minority for appreciating the comedy in this film - but I grew up watching British movies ever since I could walk. I initially bought a VHS copy of "Climbing High" 6 years ago for Torin Thatcher's appearance in it. It's a gem in my video collection.
