It's available now on a 4 DVD package of Sidney Toler-Chan films,
One interesting fact not mentioned by the commentators on this film was that "actor" who played the doctor attending Rhadini toward the end of the picture. He isn't really an actor; he;s a writer named Walter B. Gibson. He was perhaps the most prolific author on magic and trickery in the world during his lifetime.
He wrote a lot of stuff under a lot of different names. Probably his best known alias is that of MAXWELL GRANT. Under this alias he wrote most of the SHADOW novels for the SHADOW pulp magazine, No small feat when you consider he had to turn out TWO NOVELS A MONTH for several years!

I just recently ordered this along with Charlie at Reno, City in Darkness, and In Honolulu. Go to Amazon.com and type in charlie chan. This 4-titled box set dvd with Treasure Island is now available. I am still looking for Charlie Chan in Dead Men Tell. That one was always my favorite.

Dead Men Tell is very fine, but my fave has always been CC at Treasure Island. Let's hope Fox releases Dead Men so we call see it again cuz its been a long, long time.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

I’m in 12 years late on your comment! Hope you’ve enjoyed the Chan films. Sidney Toler doesn’t get the same respect as Warner Oland, but his many of his movies are every bit as good as Oland’s. Of the collection you mentioned, In Honolulu is a solid start for Toler. Reno is also excellent. In Darkness would be great except for the histrionics of Harold Huber. Good grief, where was the director to rein him in? Treasure Island is probably the best of all the Chan films.
