Refreshingly familiar - Spoilers?

Each one of the Bulldog Drummond movies I've seen follows the exact same pattern. He's about to marry his fiancée, who insists he stay away from his favorite hobby. Sure enough he agrees but somehow falls into the middle of the latest caper; he's and various other associates are captured and close to meeting some awful demise when all is satisfactorily resolved. Still, they're an interesting pastime. They're entertaining without requiring much thought or even attention; that's the opposite of how I usually watch a movie.

The one problem I have with this movie is the opening scene. Hammond plays chicken with a speeding train with his fiancée and aunt in the car. The way the scene is cut he barely clears the tracks when the train speeds by. I think it succeeds at showing how Drummond's recklessness but it sets a horrible example for viewers. It makes it seem like it's a harmless prank instead of something with can have deadly consequences.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
