There are almost 20 productions,based on Captain"Bulldog" Drummonds adventures.
He is like the poor mans Sherlock Holmes.
John Howard plays "BULLDOG" in most,Heather Angel is his fiancé Phyllis Clavering,Reggie Denny his right hand man or "WATSON" as "ALGY"Longworth-then John Barrymore and HB Warner both played Scotland Yards Col.Nielsen-sort of like Holmes INSPECTOR LESTRADE.
Then there is the "BULLDOG"version of Mrs Hudson-EE Clive as butler TENNY TENNYSON.
These films are worth the watch-more comedy than mystery and Reggie Denny is a surprise as the bumbling oaf ALGY....
