like a rehash of Paul Muni's superb and true story, "I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang". Robinson was a an excellant actor, but Muni's version is still one of the most stark and stunning indictments of chain gang labor.

Let it be unsaid: insignificance is the locus of true increpation.

It has a major difference in the ending. But I concur, Paul Muni's is the more powerful picture.
