More families today could use a Judge Hardy type dad

Sure, it's only "Hollywood" and we live in a different era, but the wisdom that the judge had in setting up a 'trial" to determine the intentions of the "four-flusher" making time with his daughter was pretty good. He cared enough about his daughter to see the guy get an honest grilling. How much better off would a lot of women be today to have a dad that would give the "litmus" test to dudes showing up for their daughters? If there is honesty, they have nothing to fear.
