Best Franchot Tone?

I'm not normally a big fan of Franchot Tone, but I believe this is his best performance I've seen. He make Otto so likable and real, and he strikes just the right note between showing his obvious love for Margaret Sullavan while honestly wanting the best for her and Robert Taylor. He made the movie for me.
