Swiss Miss originally ran 72 minutes, both when originally released and when nationally re-released by Film Classics in 1947. The colorized version of the 1990's deleted two songs, "I Can't Get Over the Alps", sung by Walter Woolf King,
and "The Cricket Song" sung by King and Della Lind, with the result that the film now ran about 65 minutes. This is the version that TCM broadcast (in B&W) in June 2008. Let us hope that next time (it's scheduled to be reshown in August 2008), TCM will use the complete original version.

I was appalled that TCM would air any movie that was cut. What happened to all those promises about their movies being "complete and uncut?" I've since purchased a DVD of the film which runs 72 minutes.

As of today's date--7/18/12, TCM is showing this film with a 73min. running time, including the missing songs.
