No DVD available for this one?

Hello,

Can anyone steer me to a decent DVD for this film? I've found a couple, but they seem to fall into the category of "DVD afterthought," if you know what I mean:

The above link is for a DVD of 4 of Vivien's early films, with SoL/SML being among them. The 2 product reviews are polar opposites as far as ratings go (i.e. the quality of the film transfer).

This DVD has "Sidewalks" on a double-bill with another film: "Wings of the Morning."

Neither of these two DVDs is very inspiring. Hasn't *anyone* seen fit to put the time and effort into producing a high-quality DVD? Since this is Vivien's last film before she did GWTW, and she did not, after all, do many films, I'm having trouble understanding the lack of interest. @_@

I wouldn`t say that the appearance of this film in two DVD collections shows a lack of interest but more likely a perceived lack of demand because the film is in black and white.

I actually own both collections, I brought the Vivien Leigh collection myself and a friend later gave me the Sidewalks/Wings of the Morning for a present.

Although the transfer isn`t perfect on either collection I think that given that the films involved are from the 1930s it ain`t that bad. Personally I prefer the two DVD/four flm Vivien Leigh collection. Not only does it represent better value for money but the collection includes `Storm in a Teacup` a marvellous little gem of a film with Vivien Leigh and Rex Harrison.
