I completely agree with both of you! And I can't wait to see it again.

Just another proof that Jimmy Stewart was incredibly sexy and such a warm person...and it shows on the screen every time. LORD, I miss that man.

yeah, really enjoyed it, though I do not understand how they came up with the title of it!?!

Shopworn - adj.
1. Tarnished, frayed, faded, or otherwise defective from being on display in a store.
2. Worn-out, as from overuse; trite:

The title refers to the second definition. Her character was worn out, a tarnished angel.

I think both definitions fit Sullavan's character. She seemed in need of a long stay in a sanitarium. Bill dodged the Daisy "bullet".

I agree. I enjoyed it a lot. Jimmy Stewart was so adorable.

Daisy Heath was a New York night club singer. Worldly wise, cynical and her rough edges were beginning to show. A little "shopworn."

Then she meets this wide eyed innocent from Texas who doesn't see any of that. He only sees a beautiful lady and treats her like the angel he thinks she is.

Hence the title.

Maybe it's because I was born and grew up on Air Force bases, but I laughed at how Jimmy Stewart's character, Pettigrew, suffered no consequences that we see for deserting his outfit the night before they ship out to France. Uh, he'd have been court marshaled immediately upon returning to his unit and likely shot.

Still, a nice bit of fluff, the leads are all excellent. 6/10
